Ok, so this interview is almost two weeks old, but somehow I missed it the first time around.

Ovi has a tramp stamp.

So. Barring any last minute job offers, it's back to school for me. Yay.

I got about what I was expecting in Maraist's class, and did much better in family law than I thought, but my gpa will pretty much stay the same since six credits isn't enough to drastically change anything. It looks like my classes in the fall have a higher median than my first year classes though, so hopefully I'll be able to raise my gpa this semester.

Spent this weekend with my sick niece and nephew, and yesterday I felt like crap.
Thankfully, I felt much better today and it doesn't seem like I'm getting sick anymore. Because being sick is just what I would've needed right before going back to school.

The mysterious week-long breakout of hives also appears to be over. Those were more annoying than anything else, but still. Even more annoying is that I have no idea what caused it. I've broken out in hives twice in my entire life. Both times were this year, in two different places [well, three technically, since this past week was split between my parents' house and my sister's house].

Maybe I'm becoming allergic to Louisiana in general. If I have to listen to my family's opinions on health care and whether Obama was actually born in America one more time, I may go insane.

I'm getting in some last minute reading-for-fun before Monday. None of my professors have sent out assignments yet, which is good since I haven't picked up my books. Oh wait, scratch that. My income tax professor just emailed his syllabus. :( I just hope Amazon delivers my international law books before Monday, since Claitor's was being an asshole and didn't stock them.

August sucks so bad. Nothing interesting ever happens in August, and it's still ridiculously hot. The only thing to look forward to this month is the Greek season premiere, and it's the last day of the month, which is practically September.

And oh crap, but I still need to buy my plane ticket to Hawaii. Ugh. They just keep getting more expensive, but they're already so expensive as it is. Good thing I have a good bit of money left over from my summer loans, and since my fall loans were disbursed yesterday, I'm pretty well set financially. It feels weird having this much money in my checking account.

Because of that surplus of money, I splurged when ordering my books from Amazon and also bought the King's Quest collection. Oh man, I'm so excited. It's like reliving my childhood.

Only two weeks of freedom left.

Though I am looking forward to going to the zoo Tuesday with Katie. Not sure why, but I have had this inexplicable desire to go to the zoo for months now. So yay for trip to New Orleans and the zoo!

Also, I think "dirty French Canadian slut" might be my new favorite phrase [I have nothing better to do today than look back at the old posts on TMM]. I think I can no longer deny my crush on YET ANOTHER Penguin. I may be the most blasphemous Caps fan ever. Oh, Max Talbot. It's this picture that does it for me.



Is it the glasses? The crooked viking hat? I don't know. I think my Cajun heritage has left me with a weakness for French Canadians [see also Jose Theodore, perhaps the king of the dirty French Canadian sluts].

Also, I am so ditzy today. I check my email, and there's a message from facebook that I have a friend request from "Lsu Sba." I spent, no lie, five minutes trying to think who this Lsu Sba person is and how I know him, because that's a really unusual name and you'd think I'd remember meeting him, then finally go over to facebook to check his profile.

Um, yeah, that's LSU SBA. *headdesk*

Oh my goodness. Those cherry limeade chillers from Sonic [or whatever they're called, where they mix cherry limeade with soft serve] may be the best thing I have ever drunk in my entire life.

As though I didn't already have a severe addiction to cherry limeade.

I am so in love. But that might just be the sugar talking.

I go to the DC section on craigslist so often that, now, following a link to the main website automatically forwards me to DC. Huh.

Bah, I'm tired of feeling so down. So I've been reminding myself of the many good things coming up during the latter half of the year.

--Well, summer school will be over Wednesday afternoon. So I'll have 3 weeks of nothing but sleeping late and lazing about. Bliss.

--The new season of Greek starts August 31. FINALLY CASEY AND CAPPIE WILL BE TOGETHER!!!! They better be, anyway. I don't know how much more I can take of them leading me on and playing around with my emotions.

--There will be Icegators hockey in some form in Lafayette again this fall. I've missed going to games so much.

--Visit to Asela in October! Wow, I can't even describe how badly I need to get out of LA for a bit.

--Week-long vacation in Hawaii over winter break. 'Nuff said.
